In December 2010 the coalition government published it's new drugs strategy - 'Reducing Demand, Restricting Supply Building Recovery: supporting people to lead a drug free life' . More information on the drugs strategies, consultations and relevant documents can be found on the Home Office Website. The new strategy will help shape the face of drug and alcohol treatment services over the coming years.
The "Drugs: Protecting Families and Communities" strategic document produced in 2008 continues to be relevant and can be found on the recently archived Tackling Drugs Changing Lives Website, which contains a lot of useful information on drug treatment services, drugs and the criminal justice system and more.
