Every year, Sheffield Drug and Alcohol Action Team completes a treatment plan that is negotiated with and approved by the National Treatment Agency (NTA), together with local and regional partners. The plans outline how we will manage treatment services for adults each year using central and local sources of funding, as well as setting targets for the next financial year.
Our Treatment Plans are developed based on the findings and outcomes of our needs assessment process, this way we can ensure our objectives are appropriate to meet local need. The treatment planning process involves input from all local stakeholders including service providers, service users and carers, partner agencies and other local experts.
The NTA use our Treatment Plans to monitor our progress against drug treatment priorities at local, regional and national levels.
The Treatment Plan shapes the aims and objectives in relation to adult drug treatment for the coming year. Areas covered by the treatment plan include accessibility to treatment, harm reduction, service users, carers, the Drug Intervention Programme and structured drug treatment.
